GENERAL APPLICATIONS

The Texas Common Application (used by all Texas public universities) www.applytexas.org , the Common Application for Catholic Colleges, and the Common Application (used by many selective and private schools) www.commonapp.org may be completed once online and submitted to several schools.  This saves a great deal of time and effort in the application process.  See Mrs. Schmidt if you have questions regarding these applications.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID!!! In order to apply for financial aid for college or career school and for most state and institutional aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Go online to apply at FAFSA on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

There is an Internet site for TEXAS INDEPENDENT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES www.TEXASMENTOR.ORG.  Through this site you may apply to schools via the Internet, check admission requirements, take campus tours, set up e-mail accounts with schools, etc.

Regis University offers a full-tuition scholarship in the areas of Biology, Chemsitry, and Mathermatics. Winners determined by competitive examination.

UIW application fee is waived for all IWHS students.

St. Mary's will waive the application fee if your application is submitted by December 1.

If you are applying to Texas A&M, College Station, and you are not in the top 10% of your class, YOUR APPLICATION MUST BE IN THE A&M COMPUTER SYSTEM BEFORE THANKSGIVING if you want to be in the first round review.
