TAPPS & UIW AWARDS CEREMONY:
On Tuesday, May 6th at 8:15 a.m., in the gym, we will recognize those students for their achievements in TAPPS and other academic areas. In additon, winners of the UIW academic art and academic competitions will be recognized.

ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT:
On Thursday, May 8th at 6:00 p.m., in the gym, students receiving recognitions in various categories will be honored. All of the IWHS community is invited. Parents of award recipients have been sent an invitation regarding this event.

SCHOOL RENOVATIONS:
Exciting news!  The following announcement was mailed to current parents and all alumnae.  Be sure to tell your student, family, and friends.  Praise be the Incarnate Word! Letter to the Parents

EXPRESS-NEWS PLAYER OF THE WEEK :
Senior Brigette Neumann, pitcher/outfielder, has been selected as the player of the week. She "went 8 for 12 last week with four doubles, one triple, three runs scored and 10 RBIs. She also went 2-0 on the mound, yielding three earned runs." Express-News,"High School Plus," April 1, 2008. Way to go Shamrocks!!!

CHEERLEADERS @ SEAWORLD:
On Saturday, March 8, the IWHS cheerleaders went to their final competition of the year at Sea World.  They placed 2nd in the Small Varsity division! Way to Go, Shamrocks!!!

CLOSE-UP TRIP TO WASHINGTON, D.C. :
Close-Up is a week long trip to Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg, Va., where the students study everything from the monuments to the pertinent political issues and take a look at our earliest days before the Revolution.  It is a Close-Up look at our democratic government  and its processes. This past November several students along with their sponsor Mrs. Kellogg had the opportunity to meet Senator John Cornyn. SCHOOL CLOSURE:
In case of severe weather conditions, announcements concerning school closing will be made on radio station WOAI (1200 AM Radio).
