SHAMROCKS RETURN FOR ALUMNAE SOCCER MATCH:
Four college athletes joined forces with their former All-State and All-District teammates to form perhaps the strongest Alumnae Team in IWHS history.  This year, the match was moved indoors and provided for a fast pace game.  The current Shamrock soccer team played well,   but the alumnae team lead by Becky Peth ‘09, Alyssa Mora ‘10, Ashley Cervantes ’11, and Julia Reyna ’11 proved the superior team.  These college athletes were joined by All-District teammates Katie Morell ’11, Allyson Hartenstine ’10, and Colleen O’Brien ’08.  The Alumnae took the game with a 3-0 score.   As a bonus this year, the girls played an “overtime” period with alumnae and current players teaming up.  The team led by sisters Becky and Alumnae Soccer MatchKatie ’15 Peth won 1-0 against the team led by sisters Colleen and Regan ’13 O'Brien.  Coach Daniel Robles extends a big "thank you" to all the girls, past and present, for taking time from their Christmas break to continue a Shamrock tradition, and a special thanks to the parents who organized this event and cheered on the girls.  Save the date for next year’s Alumnae Match,
December 27, 2012!
