Scholarships & Tuition Assistance

We highly recommend that anyone seeking financial assistance from IWHS apply to Hope for the Future first.

All Tuition Assistance requests and General Scholarship requests require completion of the FACTS Application online. This is the same application used by Hope for the Future. You may complete it once and it will be sent to IWHS as well.

By completing the above application for Hope for the Future your information has automatically been sent to IWHS. To be considered for Need-Based Tuition Assistance please contact the business office in writing. 

General Scholarships

The Incarnate Word High School Scholarship Program, funded through private donations, provides an opportunity for students to be honored for their academic achievements.  Students in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades may complete one general application for the following scholarships (applicable for the upcoming school year).

       IWHS Scholarship

       NHS, PTO, StuCo scholarships

       IWHS Alumnae Association Scholarship

       Mary Ann de la Garza Scholarship

       Roger J. Labat Scholarship

       Mary Nina Ozuna '79 Scholarship

       Barbara Stern Award for Academic Excellence in Mathematics

Print the 2018-2019 Scholarship Application and submit it by the close of business June 9, 2017.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities 

             Mother Pierre Cinquin Scholarship Application

             Academic Distinction (requires a letter from school on school letterhead stating qualifications & student must have taken the HSPT at IWHS to qualify)

             Brainpower Connection (automatically awarded to students rising from a Brainpower School)

             HSPT (student must have taken HSPT at IWHS to qualify - this award is based on score)

            Valedictorian/Salutatorian (student must have taken HSPT at IWHS to qualify & letter required from feeder school on school letterhead stating Val/Sal Status)

            Welcome Grant for incoming 9th graders or transfers from public school ONLY.

            **Any and all required documentation (school letterhead letters) must be requested by the parent and is not the responsibility of IWHS to obtain.
