Weekday Schedule

Life of a Shamrock:

5 am-7 am

Sometimes, a Shamrock may be in need of transportation before school due to academic or athletic individual responsibilities. The drives are pre-arranged with the Residence Life Coordinator for our young ladies ahead of time.

7 a.m.-7:55 a.m.

On a regular basis, the girls must wake up. A Resident Assistant (RA) ensures the young ladies are awake, getting ready for school.

In the event one of the girls feel’s sick, she is required to dress in full uniform and be ready for the coordinator to take the resident to the UIW Health Services office to be checked.

7: 55 a.m.

All girls leave the Residence Hall to begin their day at IWHS.

8-3:20 p.m.

Shamrocks are in school all day! (They are not allowed in the residence hall during the school hours).

3:20-6:45 p.m.

Afternoon Check-In/Resident free time & activities to include going and getting dinner at the university campus/eating in the residence hall or being transported to specific requests based on the individual needs of each young lady.

6:45 p.m.

Send all the corresponding girls to the Learning Community Tutoring Classroom. Residents in the classroom must be ready to begin their tutoring session at 7pm sharp.

**Note: Sometimes if no tutors are available, study hours for specific girls will be conducted/monitored in the kitchen of the respective hall by the RA on-duty. No IM, Facebook, Netflix, or YouTube.

7-9 p.m.

Quiet Hours begin and are in effect until 9pm (All girls must be in their respective rooms studying, sleeping or relaxing if the resident is not in the Learning Community Tutoring Program).**This means no disruptions in the hall, no cooking (a snack is allowed but no cooking in the kitchen).

If an emergency comes up or something important that requires assistance, the RA on duty is available for assistance to the resident.

9-10:30 p.m.

Quiet hours are lifted to direct the young ladies to prepare for school the next day (Iron uniform, shower, change into pajamas, relax etc.).

9:30 p.m. The Resident Assistant on-duty conducts room checks for the evening with the Leader Group of 3-4 girls assigned for the evening. The room checks are preformed to make sure the girls abide by the room cleanliness and safety regulations.

11 p.m.

All main entrance doors, lounge, study room, kitchen windows and doors are armed.  Girls are not to leave their rooms from this point on. RA completes a head count and ensure that all girls are in their rooms. Turn off hallway lights. RA on-call is to be contacted for emergencies (medical, safety or serious policy violations).
