Brainpower Summer School

Summer School at IWHS 2018

. . . Brainpower S.S. & Non-Brainpower

Incarnate Word High School will host the Brainpower Summer School 2018 during the month of June. Session 1 will be held June 4-15 and Session 2 will run from June 18-29. Each session represents a semester and runs two weeks in length.


      $222.50 Non-refundable per 1/2 credit course

      $445 Non-refundable per 1 credit course

The summer school day is scheduled from 8:00 - 2:30 with a 30 minute lunch time assigned.  To receive credit, students must have no more than one absence or two tardies per session and must be present on the last day of the session.

Applications are now available to download from our website www.incarnatewordhs.org. They will also be available in the wooden case opposite the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar’s Office will begin accepting applications no sooner than Tuesday, March 20.

Non-Brainpower Summer School Request

For courses at non-Brainpower schools, students must complete the Non-Brainpower Course Request Form and submit it to their Guidance Counselor for review and approval beginning March 20. Once approved by Guidance, it will be forwarded to the Principal for approval. Students will not be permitted to earn IWHS credit for any non-Brainpower courses if they did not receive approval prior to enrollment. Download the form above or pick one up at the Guidance Office or email your counselor to request one. Forms must be submitted to the student’s counselor no later than May 24.


NOTE:  Meeting with the Guidance Counselors is not required for advising to specific summer schools. Please contact them if you have any questions or concerns.
