  • International Application Process

    Ready to apply to join the Shamrock family? Follow the instructions below to complete your easy online application.

    Create an application
    Click here to create an online account. This will allow you to log in and out to access your application account information and track your status. Create a new application for the appropriate academic year and fill out all questions carefully.

    Submit required documents
    IWHS requires the following documents to be received for the application to be considered complete. Documents may be uploaded to the online application or submitted via email:

     
    Schedule an Interview
    Once your application is complete, the International Program Coordinator at Incarnate Word will contact you to schedule an online video interview. After all documents are received and the interview is completed, the International Program Coordinator will send out the student’s I-20 so that the student may apply for their F-1 visa.

    Incarnate Word partners with two CSIET-certified homestay agencies, the American Homestay Network and American Home Life International, to provide safe, loving host families to our international students. Please contact our representatives listed below to get started on finding your new home!

  • International Rates and Fees

    Immigration regulations require students entering on an F-1 student visa to give proof of their financial resources to cover their educational and living expenses while studying in the United States. Incarnate Word requires international students to pay all tuition and fees, including the insurance fee, at the beginning of the academic year or semester.

    The following chart indicates the amount, based on residence, for which you must provide evidence to be issued a Certificate of Eligibility (also known as the I-20 form for F-1 students).

    Varies based on homestay option selected. Students with family friends or relatives in the San Antonio area may qualify for a Parent-Nominated Guardianship option in addition to the options listed above. More information can be found here.

    All new applicants must pay the one-time $100 application fee. To submit the application fee, please contact the Business Office at (210) 829-3115.

    Proof of Financial Support
    Funds may come from any dependable source, to include: personal funds, immediate family, scholarships, fellowships, or sponsoring agencies. You will need to submit a bank statement, in English, showing evidence of adequate funds. In addition you will need to submit the Incarnate Word Financial Declaration form below, using the monetary amounts shown in the table above.

  • International Student Scholarships

    International Student Scholarships
    We're excited to announce the launch of our international student scholarship program! International students interested in attending Incarnate Word High School have several options to help fund their education.
     
    International Catholic Community Scholarship
    Students that attended a Catholic school prior to their acceptance at Incarnate Word will be automatically considered for an annual $1,500 tuition scholarship. Students must maintain a 85 grade point average at Incarnate Word to keep the scholarship.
     
    International Scholars Merit Scholarship
    High-achieving students may submit an application to receive an annual $1,000 scholarship. Please note that this is a competitive scholarship provided on a first-come, first-serve basis so submit your application early! Students must maintain a 85 grade point average at Incarnate Word to keep the scholarship.
     
    CCVI Partnership Discount
    If you are applying to Incarnate Word after attending one of the CCVI partner schools listed here, you are eligible for a 33% reduction in tuition. Please note your previous school on your online application and you will be automatically considered for the scholarship. Students must maintain a 85 grade point average at Incarnate Word to keep the scholarship.
