IWHS Athletics

Incarnate Word High School, an all-girl Catholic high school in Texas, has earned multiple State titles in athletes and annually competes against some of the best private and public schools in the state. We offer 10 different sports during three seasons and our athletes make up 55% of our student body. IWHS produces athletes that will compete at the next level, which include schools such as Rice, LSU, Alabama A&M, and San Diego State.

Athletics provide opportunities that will help students develop physically, mentally and emotionally. We view IWHS athletic competition as a healthy educational and physiological activity because it challenges each student to excel, discover her physical limits and to work cooperatively with team members. The focus of Incarnate Word's athletic programs is to improve the athlete's performance by emphasizing skill development, tactical training and improved fitness. All three phases of training are inherent to the ongoing success of Incarnate Word Athletics.
