Alumnae Association

Welcome to the IWHS Alumnae Association!

The Alumnae Association is a governing body comprised of graduates and former students who, by their demonstrated commitment to Incarnate Word High School, have been selected to represent the entire alumnae body. This group is responsible for planning and promoting the alumnae programs throughout the year. The Alumnae Association works in collaboration with school administration to plan events and projects.

  • Our Mission Statement

    The Alumnae Association helps to create and foster enduring relationships that result in advocacy for and philanthropic support of Incarnate Word High School, ensuring its continued legacy of excellence.
  • Our Purpose

    The purposes for which the Alumnae Board is formed are:
      • to foster the IWHS Mission, the best interest of IWHS and its alumnae, the spirit of Christian service and social justice which drive our Mission.
      • to provide the principal link between IWHS and its worldwide network of alumnae.
      • to promote awareness to IWHS of the value of its alumnae and enhance alumnae awareness of their vital role in the future of IWHS.
      • to grow a shared spirit among alumnae, parents, students, faculty, staff and administration through projects that benefit IWHS and to engage in our students, as future alumnae, a sense of pride and loyalty to IWHS.
      • to serve as a resource group working with the administration of IWHS in areas of alumnae relations.

  • Membership

    General Membership
    Membership is open to all graduates and the current faculty or staff of IWHS. All Alumnae are invited to join the board or attend a meeting as Associate members.
    Dues
    There is no assessment of dues for membership in the Association
    Membership Year
    The membership year of the Association shall be July 1 through June 30.
  • Alumnae Board

    The Alumnae Board officers shall consist of a President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Immediate Past President, and IWHS Director of Advancement. These officers shall serve as the Executive Committee of the Board. The term of office for President, President-Elect, and Immediate Past President shall be two-year terms. The position of President-Elect will be slated and become President after said term. Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian shall serve one-year terms but may be re-elected for no more than two additional terms in one position continuously. Any member of the Association is eligible for a position on the Board.

  • Meetings

    The Board
    Regular Board meetings shall be held in September, November, February, March, April, and May on dates selected by the President and Executive Committee. The meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in Mt. Erin unless otherwise instructed. Interested alumnae are welcome to join these meetings.

    Association Meetings
    Association meetings occur twice a year, one meeting per semester. Interested alumnae are welcome to join these meetings.
