• Daily Prayer

  Throughout the year, our Peer Ministry team develops daily prayers, motivational messages, videos and music to be sent to all students. This is an opportunity for our students to individually reflect on themselves and their relationships with others.

• Daily Prayer Faculty, Staff and Administration

  During the school week, the Peer Ministry team develops prayers, motivational messages, videos or music to be sent to all faculty, staff and administration. This is an opportunity to connect with them and offer a moment of reflection.

• Liturgy

  Mass is at the heart of our life at Incarnate Word High School. We embrace the opportunity to gather as a community and celebrate in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. All are welcome to attend these school wide liturgies. Masses are also celebrated with our faculty, staff, and administration throughout the year. We are grateful to have the support of priests, deacons, and parish spiritual leaders who assist us in our mission.
  
  We offer monthly masses and celebrate mass for Holy Days of Obligation and special events.

• Mission and Ministry Director

  During the school week, the Director of Mission & Ministry offers a reflection to all faculty, staff, and administration. This is an opportunity to share our mission and encourage conversations about our faith and charism.

• Peer Ministry Team

  Student Peer ministers support the faith formation of the school and serve in many capacities as student spiritual leaders.

• Prayer Experiences

  Mission & Ministry, with the assistance of the Peer Ministry team, offer prayers services for students, faculty, staff, and administration. The Rosary is offered throughout the year either online or as an on campus event. All students, faculty, staff and administration have an opportunity to take part in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Opportunities for Prayer Walks, Emmaus Walks, and Jericho Walks are offered.

• Retreats

  The retreat experience offers girls an opportunity to witness the power of faith as a whole community. Yearly retreats are held for each class level in collaboration with IWHS Peer Ministers and the Director of Mission & Ministry. These retreats serve as a time to build relationships and experience the fellowship of a prayerful community experience.

• Service

  Incarnate Word High School students are encouraged to follow in the footsteps of our founders, The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word and answer the call to serve those in most need of mercy. Through their example, we are challenged to have "a life for God and a heart for others.”
  
  We ask students to think globally and act locally as we focus on human dignity, social justice, and care for God’s creation. 
  
  Students will participate in on-campus service learning opportunities, service outreach and collaborative service events with community organizations, and internships. We are moving towards service as a spiritual experience in which our students are moved to action because they are living the charism of our founders, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.
